Beringer Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Pauli Vineyard Howell Mountain Napa Valley Vertical Multi Vintage (3-Pack) NV
From the Seller
BERINGER Vertical! 94, 94, 95 POINTS on 2017, 2018, and 2019 Cabernets from a single vineyard atop Howell Mountain — and OVER $220 less than anywhere else! Brand spanking NEW drop of another trio of SINGLE VINEYARD, Howell Mountain Cabernet gems from the Cali-legend that is Beringer! Some of Howell Mountain’s BEST vintages of the last few decades — this property (more recently re-christined as Pauli after decades as Vogt) now serves as the home ranch of Forman’s illustrious Howell Mountain estate — but after working with the fruit for DECADES as part of both Beringer’s exceptional Private Reserve program, and a few, small-production, single-vineyard releases…they just HAD to have it! Now? That chance is yours, good people! Beringer has reigned supreme as one of California’s most legendary producers since the 1800s — and this euphoria-inducing, steal-of-a-deal brings no-brainer savings to the absolute PEAK!!! Normally $510 for this holiest of Napa Cab trinity — but here? Now? Less than $290!!! ‘17, ‘18, ‘19…all with scores in the 94-95 range, and all ready to showcase the depth and intensity of Napa’s most cherished mountaintop…YES!!! 2017 is one of my all-time sleeper favorite vintages for Howell Mountain Cab — and this kicks off with a BANG! Grilled herbs and graphite, with black licorice, and roasted plums, black currants, and dried cherries. Big, brooding, and beastly. Lots of structure and classic Howell Mountain density. Then there’s 2018 – which you might have heard me SCREAM from the rooftops sometime in the past several YEARS — is the HIGHEST rated Napa Cab vintage of all-time (at least according to Wine Spectator!) Lifted aromatics with a seductive floral presence of roses and lilacs, then graphite, and scorched earth. Inky and chocolate-y, with some red berry fruits like raspberry and cherry through its core, before moving deftly in a finish that delivers iron and blood — like the sands of the mighty coliseum in the days of ancient Rome. Tastes like VICTORY! And then, as if pleasure could reach no end — we have the 2019. Grilled herbs and sage, with roasted meats, and a distinct salty/savory aspect. The brightest of the lot in terms of fruit character — with an emphasis on red plums and cherries uplifting the more typical blackberry fruits. Dusty and full of graphite on the finish, with a tingly heat that is reminiscent of pink peppercorns and fresh strawberries. It straight up SINGS, y’all! A trio for the ages — but aged for you to begin devouring in the here and now! All for OVER $220 OFF!!! Go, fly, and FEAST, good people! While it lasts!
